A digital memoir by Bibek Sigdel

Life didn’t go the way I planned.
Looking back, I’m glad it didn’t.

This isn't a portfolio.

It isn't a résumé.

It's the story of curiosity, unexpected turns, quiet failures, meaningful people, and the journey that shaped who I am today.

Some of it happened while I was moving forward.

Some of it happened while I couldn't move at all.

I call this place HOME.

Not because it's where I live, but because it holds the pieces of how I became who I am.

If you're looking for my work, you'll find it.

But before that…

I'd love to tell you the story behind it.

Bibek Sigdel

Sometimes we spend so much time mourning the doors that close… that we fail to notice the windows opening beside them.

One Minute Story

When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming an Army Officer.

I gave everything I had to that dream.

Three attempts.

Three failures.

For a while, I believed those interviews had decided my future.

They hadn't.

Life quietly redirected me toward technology.

At first, I didn't even know how to build a simple HTML page.

I copied templates because I didn't know where to begin.

Years later, I was leading projects, helping teams grow, and building products I could never have imagined back then.

Looking back, I don't think my story is about changing careers.

I think it's about discovering that sometimes the life we never planned becomes the one we're most grateful for.

This place exists to share that journey.

Maybe somewhere along the way, you'll recognize a part of your own.

What I’m Building Today

My story isn’t finished. These are the things quietly occupying my days — the work I do today grew out of the same curiosity that started all of this.

01

Learning

Every day I try to leave knowing a little more than I did yesterday.

02

Building

Helping create products, businesses, and ideas that solve real problems.

03

Leading

Supporting people, making decisions, and learning that leadership begins with listening.

04

Research

Still curious. Still reading. Still asking questions.

05

Family

Success means very little if I can't share it with the people I love.

06

Life

Trying to make fewer assumptions. Trying to make better decisions. Trying to become a little better every day.

The Place That Believed In Me

Some chapters deserve more than a timeline. This is one of them.

When I joined Code Pros, I wasn't joining a company.

I was entering a place that believed in potential.

I arrived as someone still learning. Curious. Unsure. Trying to understand the craft.

Over time, responsibilities changed. Projects became larger. People trusted me with more.

Eventually, leadership became part of the journey too.

Looking back, I don't think the greatest lesson was technical.

It was discovering how much one person's belief can influence another person's future.

Some opportunities don't simply change your career. They quietly change who you become.

Window Seat

My first international trip wasn't just about another country. It was about perspective.

Sitting beside an airplane window somewhere above the clouds, I realized something I had never noticed before.

Life wasn't replacing my dreams. It was quietly rewriting them.

Sometimes we only understand our own progress after we've had enough distance to look back. That window seat taught me more than the destination ever could.

Today

I’m still learning. Still building. Still making mistakes. Still asking questions. Still becoming.

Every project teaches something. Every conversation changes something. Every chapter opens another.

I hope that’s always true.
